How do I know when my car needs new tires?
HOW-TO 2020/02/07

How do I know when my car needs new tires?

There are some parts in your car that require you to pay constant attention, as their shelf life may be less than other parts of the car, or be affected by several other factors that the car is exposed to permanently while walking on the roads, among those parts is the car tire.

Like all other parts of the car, the car tire has a specific life span that may be affected by driving conditions. Rugged and difficult, so the life of your car's tires will definitely be affected by your driving style and the conditions under which you drive.

Therefore, it is natural that the shelf life of your car tire is different from that of your friend's car, for example, since in addition to driving conditions and style, each type of rubber is different from the age of its counterparts in the market, each company recommends changing the tire in different periods of the other, so the answer to the question of changing the car tire after how many kilometers will not be completely accurate.

Do my tires really need replacing?

Some mechanics and tire men will tell you your tires need replacing by simply looking at them and telling you they're worn.

Don't take their word for it, check them yourself. Visually inspect them for wear and damage, and check the depth of the grooves.

You will have to change it after an average cut of 30,000 km to 60,000 km, or after about three to five years of continuous use have passed, whichever comes first.

In all cases, after you know how many kilometers the car tire needs to be changed. You should check them periodically, especially when you are on a long road trip with the family.

All of these preceding signs can be observed easily during a simple examination of the rubber tires, and upon seeing one of them you must replace the tire with a new one, to maintain a safe driving experience for you and your family.

And you can choose the right rubber for your car by referring to your car manual, to view the pages dedicated to the rubber model of your car and its sizes and even the types suitable for it from a large variety and variety provided by the rubber manufacturers in the current market. Or you can find out the dimensions of the rubber with a sticker attached to the inside edge of the driver's seat, and you will also find the appropriate air pressure and the percentage of load capable of carrying it on the same label.

You can also translate the codes written on the car rubber itself, where you will find that there are numbers and letters written on it, each of which means something, as it is shown in the following example 245 / 40RF19 94W:

245: Indicates the width of the tire in millimeters.
40: indicates the ratio between the height and width of the tire.
19: Indicates the appropriate rim size for the tire.
94: is the load indicator.
W: indicates the maximum speed a tire can withstand.

4 Reasons Why SUVs Became Women's Favorite Car

4 Reasons Why SUVs Became Women's Favorite Car

Do women prefer to drive SUVs?

Most women love this type of car, and studies have shown that SUV cars are more sold to women than they are to men. Wondering why? Here are some of the reasons, according to some women.

1. "SUVs are not only amazing ... but practical!"

The SUV is famous for its sheer size and plenty of space, making it suitable for those looking for comfort. This is characterized by its height and thus the height of its seats, which gives the driver a better view of the roads, which means more safety!

What about the packaging capacity? The SUV has the space to fit whatever you want ... comfort, safety and space! Are there other reasons to make them more practical cars?

2. "SUVs are fun to drive"

When the car combines luxury and the ability to challenge the toughest roads, this gives driving a special charm.

Can you imagine the pleasure that such cars will bring to you when you drive them on bumpy roads and you are surrounded by luxurious interior and are safe at the same time?

3. "SUVs help women break the stereotype"

Society has always viewed women as less capable than men, and as they entered the economic world and started working, women broke the perception of "the incapable woman" and by driving SUVs in particular, the woman shows her strength as if in her car is a reflection of her bold personality.

4. "SUVs are the best cars for mothers"

You will not be able to drive safely with your children if you cannot install the car seat in it. And if you are accompanied by more than one child, you will definitely need more than one chair, and this feature is more common in the SUV types than in any other type.

Also, these cars, as we mentioned earlier, have a large capacity, i.e., no problem when it comes to loading your child's items.

These are all the arguments of women to justify their choice of why SUVs became favorite cars for them, knowing that some regular cars have these specifications as well.

Your Phone Will Be Able to Unlock Your Car Even After the Battery Runs Out! How?
CAR NEWS 2020/02/07

Your Phone Will Be Able to Unlock Your Car Even After the Battery Runs Out! How?

With all modern cars turning to smart and electronic keys, traditional keys have become a thing of the past, but these modern keys seem to be about to become even smarter ...

This is because the Car Connectivity Consortium has approved new standards for the next generation of electronic car key technology, and will allow you to unlock the car even if your phone is off!

The new standard for digital vehicle keys comes under the name of version 2.0, where it is expected to complete the agreement on the specifications of the new standard at the end of the year 2020 to be appropriate for companies to adopt on a large scale.

This new generation of electronic key protocol uses NFC technology that stands for "Near-field communication", and it uses a special security chip present in smartphones that operate completely separately from the operating system, which provides several features that include an improved higher security level and the ability to use the key E-mail of the car even when the battery is so low that the phone cannot be turned on, allowing drivers to completely give up the real car keys operating remotely so that they can fully rely on their phones.

NFC is an international communications standard for short-range wireless data exchange. Data transfer begins automatically when an NFC-capable device is held close to another device. The Digital Vehicle Key transfers the authorization to drive the vehicle to a secured and encrypted chip in the phone or sticker. This can then be used as a car key. The Digital Vehicle Key Sticker is also available for a number of car lines in conjunction with digital vehicle key for smartphone.

The International Federation of Automotive Communication Technologies is also currently working on laying the foundations of version 3.0 of the protocol associated with the use of Bluetooth low-energy waves and wide coverage, which means that this third generation will allow owners to walk towards their cars so that the doors are opened for them automatically without the need to take out their phones.

This has not been announced that cars and phones that support this technology will start appearing in the markets, but the International Federation for Automotive Communication Technologies includes more than 100 members, including all kinds of car companies such as BMW, Mercedes, Toyota and Volkswagen, in addition to major technology companies such as Apple, Google, Qualcomm and Samsung.

Flooded Vehicles
LATEST NEWS 2019/12/20

Flooded Vehicles

In September 2019, typhoon has struck Japan and made disastrous damage through out the country.

That made tons of flooded vehicles selling at the auctions. Those cars are all gathered to one section, looked like the auction house made an “Flooded vehicle section”.

JAAI(Japan Auto Appraisal Institute) set a rule for flooded car that:
*A vehicle flooded above the interior floor.
*Can find an evidence of flood in multiple areas

Some of them are obvious, dirt all over the interior, of the rust/corrosion could be found on the metal parts of bad smell.

When there is a people try to get rid of those, there will always be a person who wants it. Reason? Because it is cheap of course.

One of the typhoon struck the Kyushu are, there were over 10,000 cars flooded, and 6,000 of them has cancelled the registration, got it off the road. Surprisingly, only 35% of those will be dismantled. Rest of the 4,000 were either repaired and/or sold as second hand cars.

Flooded vehicles will not be a good money if not entirely cleaned to clear the evidence. Comparing to accident vehicles, flooded vehicles are mostly an issue of the electrics, not exterior issues like bumpers or panels.

Those vehicles will mostly be sold to overseas market. Most of those vehicles were sold to Russia, Pakistan, UAE, Philippines.

In auctions, the most of them are sold as As is/accident or “Auction grade 1”

For flooded hybrid cars are dangerous and may cause power leak or short circuit. But it seems there is no possibilities of getting electrocuted.

For the markets where flooded vehicles are no good, please be careful, for those are okay, might be able to get it cheaper?

Different Types of Wheels
CAR NEWS 2019/12/17

Different Types of Wheels

What Kind of Car Wheels Do You See in the City? If you are not a car enthusiast, it will be difficult to identify wheels type of a vehicle running in the city, but there are two main types of vehicle wheels. The answer is simple. Is it iron or otherwise? Most of the “others” are made of aluminum. What we call as ALLOYS. it is like a framework that attaches tires to the vehicle that support the weight of the vehicle and transmit the engine power to the road surface. Iron ones are cheaper to manufacture and are mounted on reasonable vehicles. The design of iron wheels are almost the same due to strength and cost. Instead of that, the appearance is not so good, so car manufactures attached a hub cap which looks like alloys to make it looks better. If you look closely at the functionality, the aluminum wheels are better, but considering the cost, it is probably the manufacturer's judgment that steel is enough.

Reasons to Change the Wheel. The biggest reason you want to change the wheel is that you want a better look. To say simply, changing from iron wheel to alloys makes it look cool. The benefits after replacement include improved suspension movement and improved heat dissipation from the brakes, but unless you are racing, you can't tell the difference.

Wheel Size and Tire Size. If you change wheels from factory size to bigger alloys, appearance of your car must be better. Looking at a car from the side, you will notice that the tires are getting thinner. Yes, outer side of the tire can not be bigger. Because over size tires may hit the parts such as the outer guard and suspension parts. At worst case. The only way to make the wheels bigger is to make the tires thinner. This is called flatness, and the flatness of the tire size that can be installed must be examined and changed. If you fit in this, there is no doubt that you will be complimented with the numbers. Also, the big problem is that the thinner the tire makes tire price expensive. For more detail about the size and number regarding alloys, we'll look at that at another opportunity.

Motor INZ (1490cc) VVT-i
